There support mechanism is second to none. LightSpeed is by far the most comprehensive system, yet easiest system to implement and use. I have installed numerous POS systems in my 30+ years of experience. I would recommend LightSpeed to anyone looking for a retail POS no matter what size. We then entered the inventory and the rest is history. Then, when the Operators completed their training, I had them configure LightSpeed themselves based on what they learned and the decisions they made. I had the Retail Operators go through the setup videos and make decisions on how they wanted to setup the system based on the videos. One was so antiquated it had to be replaced and the second one was experiencing issues everyday and the support was lousy. We had two separate Retail POS systems in our organization. Was web based and I apparently didn't understand that Absolutely nothing!!!!! Never used it CONS Communication is terrible and so is customer service. My next step is that I will be filing a complaint with the BBB. I have since disputed the charges on my credit card because I feel that is the only way I'm going to recoup my money. And now of course my sales rep Simon tells me that his manager is conveniently out of the office until next Monday and wont be able to do anything until then. I cant get them to prove any damage and they haven't returned the product which I technically own. He takes 2-3 days to respond to me and the tells me that I would not be receiving my money back because the product is damaged. I have been reaching out to my sales rep because trying to reach anyone at the company is like pulling teeth. I returned the product in NEW condition in the same packaging that it was sent to me in. I wanted to return my product which I was given a return ticket for. I didn't like that it was web based if I didn't have an iPad and I was told that using my computer was just as easy, which I disagree. I was given an appointment 2 weeks after I was to start using it and I would be charged again for a full month and still not be able to use the system. Horrible! I had to set it up on my own because I paid for the top option so that I would have the help with transitioning. It would be nice to have the option for recurring billing and serial number tracking (not just adding a serial number to an item) as well as a better protocol for backordered items on Purchase Orders. There are some work-arounds that I have implemented. Customer support is available 24/7 and if they aren't able to answer my question immediately, I have received a timely follow-up within a day or two. Lightspeed Analytics is an invaluable resource for forecasting and identifying areas of opportunity. The accounting feature and its daily export to QuickBooks allows me to spend only a few minutes each day keeping books up to date. We have been able to increase both sales and efficiency with this system. Integration across POS, eCommerce, Accounting, Data Analytics is excellent. Switching to Lightspeed has allowed me to more easily fulfil online orders, process transactions remotely, and communicate with our customer base more effectively. Our industry was using a server-based software which was cumbersome and VERY outdated.
